Shane Buntrock founded Buntrock Law Group in 2013, leaving a shareholder role at a successful Phoenix law firm to build a practice of his own with the support of his clients, family, and friends. He had previously been a shareholder in an East Valley firm in Mesa, and has practiced Arizona law for more than twenty-five years. He holds Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent rating, the highest peer rating for legal ability and ethical standards.

Shane’s practice emphasizes business and corporate law, acquisitions, commercial civil litigation, and personal injury. He focuses on corporate succession and acquisitions, creditor rights, landlord-tenant matters, employment law, protection of trade secrets, construction litigation, and trust and estate litigation, and he handles personal injury and wrongful death cases.

He has counseled and defended clients in disputes over non-compete agreements, business divorce, buy-sell agreements, boundary and easement disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, and recovery of collateral. His clients have ranged from manufacturers, retailers, and defense contractors to banks, healthcare professionals, farmers and ranchers, and injured individuals. Among his notable results, Shane obtained a complete defense verdict after a two-week federal jury trial against claims seeking over $50 million for alleged trade secret misappropriation and patent infringement.

Shane graduated from the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law in 1994 and is barred in both South Dakota and Arizona.

A burn injury survivor himself, Shane served as Chairman of the Board of the Arizona Burn Foundation from 2012 to 2018, and the foundation’s work with burn survivors and their families remains close to his heart. He has also served on the board of the Mesa Foundation for Educational Excellence and been active in his church, the Mesa Baseline Rotary Club, and Little League. Shane and his wife are the parents of four children. Away from the office he enjoys golf, upland bird hunting, and big game hunting.
